Need ideas on marketing my photography business?

I need some fresh ideas on marketing my photography business and obtaining new clients. Any one with experience in obtaining HS Senior pictures, schools pictures, event photography etc please share ideas. Anyone who has ideas on marketing this also please share!

Join the PPA (Professional Photographers of America), and your local Photographers Guild. The contacts you will make and the help you will get is great. Photographers are generally unwilling to share there experiences in the business however in my experience, members want everyone to succeed and are happy to share there knowledge. Most larger Guilds also have regular speakers (top photographers and marketing specialist etc.). It was the best move I ever made regarding my studio.
